Enrollment Support – Probably the most common and necessary function that requires our assistance, this takes a huge load off the employer. If a new employee is hired, the ONLY THING that is required, is a one-page form to be faxed or emailed to us. We then go to work by mailing/emailing forms to the new person, having them sent directly back to us, processing them, and keeping you in the loop throughout the entire process. The same goes for terminations, dependent changes, and other demographic changes.
Consolidated Billing – This process can be customized to include a breakdown by location and/or department. Each month one invoice for all insurance coverages is sent to the client (with a breakdown of each employee’s costs). This client writes a check to BNI for the total amount. The Broker Network then mails payments to each of the individual insurance carriers. Again, things are kept as simple as possible for the client with having one point-of-contact and one invoice each month to deal with.
COBRA Administration – With COBRA Legislation and the ARRA Subsidy becoming more complex, this is something that we have been doing much more for our clients. Again, this process can start with the Enrollment Change Request Form. We then send out via Certified Mail the COBRA Elections Form(s) and paperwork. If this administration is coordinated with the Consolidated Billing, we also work with all COBRA participants by sending them monthly invoices, following up to make sure that payments are tracked, and keeping them aware of all legislation/subsidy changes. We cannot be too careful with COBRA Administration in this environment.
